The 45-year-old actor addressed it during a 35th anniversary celebration of Home Alone at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center in Long Beach, Calif. on Saturday (November 22).

“My name is Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin,” he reminded everyone, per People.

In 2018, Macaulay went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where a poll was announced to change his middle name. Some of the other options were “The McRib is Back” and “Kieran,” but ultimately people voted for him to change his middle name to “Macaulay Culkin.”

Kieran Culkin is his brother’s name, so he jokes that would have been have been “great” too.

He made the change official in 2019.

“So my name is Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin. If somebody comes up to me at the airport and says, ‘Excuse me, are you Macaulay Culkin?’ I can say, ‘Well, Macaulay Culkin is my middle name.’”

The Zootopia 2 actor proudly said he “did it all for that one joke. And a bit on Fallon.”

After weeks of rumours, exits, and speculation, Spirit finally moved forward as director Sandeep Reddy Vanga launched the film with a grand muhurat ceremony in Hyderabad on Sunday. What fans did not anticipate, however, was the sudden surge of fresh excitement that followed—sparked by strong reports claiming that Ranbir Kapoor will appear in a special cameo in the Prabhas-led film.

The project commenced its first schedule with a traditional, star-studded launch event, graced by megastar Chiranjeevi, who attended as the chief guest. Photos from the ceremony showed Vanga and the team offering prayers before officially beginning work on one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year.

According to a Deccan Chronicle report, Ranbir Kapoor—who previously delivered a massive hit with Vanga in Animal—will feature in Spirit at a key turning point in the narrative. The cameo is being described as “historic,” as it would mark the first time Ranbir and Prabhas appear together on screen. A source quoted in the report said, “Ranbir will come into the picture at a crucial juncture of the storytelling. It will be a turning point in the plot and a historic moment in Indian cinema since he has never shared screen space with Prabhas.” The possibility of two major stars uniting under Vanga’s direction has already set social media buzzing.

The muhurat ceremony itself was memorable, with Chiranjeevi performing the traditional clap. Vanga later expressed gratitude, writing, “Heartfelt thank you to our MEGASTAR CHIRANJEEVI sir for blessing the event. Your gesture is unforgettable.”

Triptii Dimri, who replaced Deepika Padukone as the female lead, was in attendance, joining a cast that includes Prabhas, Vivek Oberoi, Prakash Raj, and Kanchana. Although Prabhas was absent from the muhurat, Vanga shared a photo of him holding the clapboard, telling fans it was enough to “excite” them.

Spirit has made headlines for months, especially after Deepika Padukone’s exit, reportedly due to disagreements over an eight-hour workday. She later stepped away from Kalki 2898 AD 2 as well, keeping her departure in the spotlight.

The Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, aired on November 23, 2025, turned out to be one of the most eventful installments of the season. Ekta also picked Amaal Mallik for the same show, giving a humorous astrological explanation for choosing both contestants. She noted that Tanya and Amaal share the number 10 in their Rahu, joking that people with such alignment “can make the world revolve around them.” In essence, she admired their bold energy and felt they would shine on screen.

Later in the episode, a light-hearted moment unfolded when Gaurav spoke about life after Bigg Boss, joking that outside homes would feel too small. When he joked that her “hero” was sitting right there, Amaal quickly responded, “I won’t do it—no matter how much money I get, I won’t work with her,” sparking laughter among housemates.

The director told Business Insider that he flat-out refused to show Universal executives the film’s final shot: a close-up of Glinda (Ariana Grande) whispering into Elphaba’s (Cynthia Erivo) ear, a direct recreation of the iconic original Broadway poster.

“Yes. It was always the plan. I was always going to end on the whisper,” the director shared. “Do you know how hard it was to force Universal to never use it in any marketing material? They even had a poster of it for the first movie, and I was like, ‘Why are we releasing this poster? We should never acknowledge the whisper. Never. Never.’”

“I wanted it to feel like we didn’t care about it,” he continued, “then suddenly it’s the last shot in For Good. So the studio never saw that final shot. I imposed a huge thing: ‘Do not show this shot!’ They wanted it so badly.”

Jon also revealed he has no idea what Ariana whispered to Cynthia while filming the moment.

“That poster is one of the most brilliant posters ever made,” said the filmmaker. “You don’t know what Glinda’s saying, because they never actually do that in the musical. But it’s sort of the key to friendship. That we have these secrets. And the girls got to choose what they are actually saying in the scene. I don’t even know what they said.”

And Cynthia agrees, telling Today she “would never say” what Ariana whispered.

Another high-profile video game franchise is being adapted into a TV series.

Director Vetrimaaran is all set to direct a film titled Arasan, which has already started creating a lot of anticipation in the Tamil film industry. The leading man of the film is Silambarasan TR, one of the most awaited combinations this year. This powerful combination will be further joined by composer Anirudh Ravichander whose music reportedly adds a dynamic and intense layer to the film’s narrative.
