Her father, Raj Arjun, is recognized for his contributions to films in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu. Hailing from Bhopal, he embarked on an acting career via theatre and received training at the Film and Television Institute of India before establishing himself in mainstream cinema.
