Project Hail Mary is performing well at the box office in India. The film saw a noticeable increase in its collection on its first Tuesday, earning around Rs. 3.50 crore. This was about 20 per cent higher than the previous day. With this, the total collection of the film after 6 days has reached Rs. 23.55 crore gross in India.
The film, starring Ryan Gosling, has received positive feedback from viewers. Good word of mouth has helped increase the number of people going to theatres. Like many Hollywood films, most of its earnings in India are coming from urban areas where such films usually perform better.
Based on current trends, the film is expected to finish its first week with around Rs. 26 crore gross in India. If it continues to perform well in the coming weeks, especially in the second and third weeks, its total collection could reach around Rs. 50 crore gross. This would be considered a strong performance for a non franchise science fiction Hollywood film in the Indian market.

The story of Project Hail Mary follows a man named Ryland Grace. He is an American middle school science teacher and a former molecular biologist. One day, he wakes up alone on a spaceship after being in a deep coma. He does not remember how he got there or what his mission is. As he slowly starts remembering things and finding clues, he understands his task. During his journey, he meets an alien named Rocky. Together, they try to complete a mission that could help save Earth from a major threat.
