The next instalment in the Pushpa franchise, titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage, is reportedly moving closer to early development. While the film is not expected to go on floors anytime soon, reports state that initial pre-production activities may begin in the near future.
Actor Allu Arjun, who currently has multiple projects lined up, is yet to fully commit to the third part of the franchise. Director Sukumar is also occupied with another project featuring Ram Charan, after which work on Pushpa 3 is expected to gain momentum. For now, the focus appears to be on behind-the-scenes preparations such as story development and scripting.
According to a report by Telugu 360, an exclusive office space has been leased in Hyderabad specifically for Pushpa 3. The report states that script discussions, story planning, and related pre-production work are expected to begin shortly, indicating that the makers are laying the groundwork well in advance.
Titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage, the film is reportedly aiming for a 2028 release, provided the schedule remains on track. The story is expected to follow Pushpa Raj as he navigates new challenges while attempting to reassert control over his red sandalwood operations. With Fahadh Faasil’s character arc concluding in Pushpa 2, there are rumours that Vijay Deverakonda may be considered for the antagonist’s role, though no official confirmation has been made.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun’s upcoming slate includes several major projects: AA22 with Atlee, AA23 with Lokesh Kanagaraj, AA24 with Trivikram and AA25 – Pushpa 3.
Recently, the actor officially confirmed his collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj, announced on January 14, 2026. The project will feature music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
At present, Pushpa 3 remains in the planning stage, with more concrete updates expected once the principal team clears their existing commitments.
