Streaming platform Netflix has unveiled the trailer of Accused, a psychological drama directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Dharma Productions. Headlined by Konkona Sensharma and Pratibha Rannta, the film is set to premiere on February 27 on the platform.
The trailer introduces viewers to Dr. Geetika Sen, a celebrated surgeon and gynaecologist whose professional and personal life begins to unravel after allegations of sexual misconduct emerge at her workplace. As scrutiny intensifies and public judgment grows louder, the strain spills into her marriage with Dr. Meera, setting the stage for an emotionally layered narrative.
Positioned as a restrained psychological drama, Accused steers away from overt sensationalism. Instead, it leans into ambiguity, exploring how perception can alter reality and how quickly certainty can collapse under public gaze. The film attempts to examine themes of power, vulnerability and bias through the lens of the accused — a perspective not often foregrounded in mainstream Indian storytelling.
Speaking about the trailer, director Anubhuti Kashyap said, “With Accused, I wanted to explore what happens when we are denied clarity. The trailer reflects the emotional stillness and unease that runs through the film. I’m grateful to Netflix for backing a story that resists easy answers and allows ambiguity to breathe.”

Sharing her thoughts, Konkona Sensharma, who plays Dr. Geetika Sen, stated, “Geetika is a woman used to control, of her work, her credibility, her space. What moved me was her internal collapse under scrutiny. I’m glad Netflix is bringing a story like this to audiences, one that trusts performance and silence over spectacle.”
Pratibha Rannta added, “Playing Meera meant living in that messy space where you want to trust, but your heart isn’t sure. I’m so glad Netflix tells these kinds of real, complicated stories about women.”
Accused will premiere exclusively on Netflix on February 27.
