Mark Ruffalo continued his trend of using awards show red carpets as platforms for political expression. At the Golden Globe Awards 2026, the Avengers actor arrived wearing a small pin that read “Be Good”. The badge carried a powerful message tied to immigration enforcement and violence by U.S. federal agents. The pin is a part of the ACLU-backed #BeGood campaign, launched as a call for compassion and humane treatment in a period that the organisers describe as deeply troubling in the United States.
The initiative, supported by advocacy groups including MoveOn, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, Maremoto, and Working Families Power, urges people to “be good to one another in the face of such horror” and emphasises being decent citizens, neighbours, friends, allies, and humans.
The movement gained prominence after the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, who was killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer last week during a protest in Minneapolis.

Organizers also linked the campaign to the death of Los Angeles resident Keith Porter, who was killed by an off-duty ICE agent, intensifying criticism of ICE’s actions and broader immigration enforcement policies. Many of the aggressive ICE operations and deportation practices, were expanded or normalized during US President Donald Trump’s administration. Comedian Wanda Skyes and other celebrities were also seen donning the same badge. They were also seen wearing a pin with “ICE Out” written on it.
Meanwhile, the ceremony saw a lot of deserving wins. Timothee Chalamet won his first Golden Globe for Best Actor, Musical or Comedy for Marty Supreme.

On the other hand, Adolescence star Owen Cooper made history as the youngest Golden Globe winner for Best Supporting Actor in a TV series. Some other notable winners are Teyana Taylor for One Battle After Another, Stellan Skarsgard for Sentimental Value, Seth Rogen for The Studio and more.
