After an earlier casting shake-up that saw Deepika Padukone replaced by Triptii Dimri as Prabhas’ leading lady, fresh rumours emerged suggesting that veteran actor Prakash Raj had exited the project.
Reports circulating on Sunday claimed that creative differences had surfaced during the shoot. According to the speculation, Prakash Raj was allegedly unhappy with the execution of a particular scene and certain portions of the script, leading to talk that he had walked out of the film. The rumours quickly gained traction online, with fans questioning whether Spirit was facing turbulence behind the scenes.
However, Prakash Raj has now firmly dismissed these claims. When contacted by HT City, the actor rubbished the reports, stating, “Some nonsense speculations these are. I am not aware of it,” while also confirming that he continues to be part of Spirit. His clarification puts to rest any doubts about his involvement in the ambitious project.
Notably, the film’s official sound story, released by the makers in October last year, featured Prakash Raj’s voiceover — further underscoring his association with the film. His continued presence signals stability amid swirling rumours.
Billed as one of the most ambitious films of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s career, Spirit marks his first collaboration with Prabhas. The project is expected to showcase the Baahubali star in a completely new and intense avatar. When the first look dropped in December, it sparked widespread conversation for its raw and gritty tone, staying true to Vanga’s signature storytelling style.
