Salman Khan’s last outing Sikandar with South filmmaker AR Murugadoss tanked without a trace. Undeterred by that box office result, the superstar has now lined up a new film with another filmmaker from this neck of the woods, and it is Vamsi Paidipally.
Salman Khan to headline
According to latest reports from tinsel town, Vamsi Paidipally is all set to direct superstar Salman Khan. The filmmaker has been working on a script that suits the superstar’s stardom and image. Apparently, Vamsi wrote the script keeping Salman in mind. He had narrated the plotline to the actor who then asked the director to develop the idea into a full-bound script. It looks like Salman approved the story and that’s when Vamsi started working on it. The director was spotted making multiple visits meeting Salman in Mumbai in recent times. And those in the know, have revealed that star producer Dil Raju is backing the project. Recently, his co-producer Shirish too confirmed the development of Salman’s film. But he hasn’t revealed whether the story is a remake or an original script. Fans are excited to learn about this development, more so, because of the director’s strength to showcase his protagonists in a new avatar.
Vamsi-Dil Raju collaborative strength
So far, Vamsi has directed six films – Munna, Yevadu, Brindavanam, Oopiri, Maharshi and Varisu. Except Oopiri, all the remaining films were bankrolled by Dil Raju – an indication of their collaborative strength. Vamsi has the reputation of a director who likes to experiment with stories. His last film, Varisu, starring superstar Vijay, was critically acclaimed for showcasing Vijay in a new angle. Sources from Tinseltown indicate that if all goes well, the makers are planning to take Salman’s film on floors with a grand launch early next year. The pre-production work is presently in full swing, and the director is giving final touches to the story.

Filmmaker Raj Nidimoru of the popular Raj & DK duo is in the news over strong speculation that he has married actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. None of them has confirmed the news, but a recent social media post by Raj’s ex-wife Shhyamali De has added fuel to the speculation.
On Sunday, December 1, Shhyamali took to Instagram to share a quote: “Desperate people do desperate things,” which was originally by Michael Brooks. Although she did not call out any names, fans quickly connected the dots to the recent buzz about Raj and Samantha.
Online reports indicate that Raj and Samantha may have married in a private ceremony on Monday, December 1, possibly held at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. However, despite all the chatter across Reddit and social media, there is complete silence from both Raj and Samantha.
These rumors are partly driven by the fact that the two have collaborated professionally very often. While Oasis undeniably had the biggest rock comeback of 2025 with their Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, it doesn’t look like the Gallagher brothers are ready to release new music anytime soon.
Aside from packing stadiums in Europe and the U.S., the British rockers led by Noel and Liam Gallagher were suddenly everywhere, from partnerships with Land Rover Defender and Stone Island parkas to a “Liam and Noel” oil painting auctioned off at Sotheby’s.
But now that the band has been reunited for months, fans are openly wondering if the comeback tour could lead to a new Oasis album, which would be the band’s first since 2008’s Dig Out Your Soul, reports Uproxx.
But Liam Gallagher doesn’t seem remotely interested in dropping any new Oasis tracks. On November 25, a fan tweeted at Gallagher, “beg your brother for a new album PLEASE I really need it I feel so lost right now,” and he memorably replied, “New music is for WANKERS.” Another user wrote, “i feel like a new album is coming and you’re just hiding it really well,” and Gallagher responded:
“It’s not I honestly do t see the point it won’t be as good as the old stuff im quite happy singing the old stuff I’m not 1 of those WANKERS that need to keep pushing it forward or sideways or backwards in some cases NOSTALGIA forever.”
Meanwhile, Liam also continued to plug potential additional tour dates, tweeting, “There’s loads more classics we need to play for you when we go out again I mean happy Christmas.” In response to a user asking Gallagher what he wants for Christmas, he responded, “A European tour.”
