In other words, a lot has changed in the years she’s been away from reality TV.

Even for the world’s oldest known watchmaker, the $2 million Blancpain Grande Double Sonnerie is nothing less than a staggering horological achievement, with an eye-popping price tag and the specs to match.

The astronomically- priced timepiece represents a decidedly intricate high horology masterpiece from a watchmaker perhaps best known for the dive-ready utility of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. Built off more than eight years of development and 1,200 technical drawings, an eye-popping 1,053 components went into the Blancpain Grande Double Sonnerie, the design of which resulted in a remarkable 21 patents. Blancpain proudly notes the refined timepiece was “entirely conceived, produced, decorated and assembled in-house,” and to that end, only two models will be produced per year: Indescribably rare doesn’t begin to cover it.

The horologist notes the watch is “the most complicated watch in Blancpain’s history,” packed with a slew of features seemingly impossible to incorporate into one timepiece (perhaps resulting in its 47mm case diameter). The Blancpain Grande Double Sonnerie features everything from a flying tourbillon to a fully integrated retrograde perpetual calendar, a minute repeater and a movement design that’s entirely secured within the watch and its 18-karat case and bridgeplate construction. Most striking is the duo of sonnerie complications (one grande melody, one petite melody, both switchable within the watch itself).

Even more incredibly, one of the melodies was composed by watch collector Eric Singer, who just so happens to be the drummer in KISS (yes, KISS). Billed by Blancpain as a “symphony of innovation, artistry, and emotion,” the Sonnerie complication doubles the number of notes found in a traditional chiming mechanism, using the notes E,G,F and B with four hammers and gongs.
Singer composed the Blancpain melody, while the other selectable Sonnerie option relies on the Westminster melody. Two manually wound spring barrels, one operating the chiming mechanism, rest within the watch, while the flying tourbillon delivers stability and a striking sense of visual appeal through both the dial and its caseback. Even more impressive is its 96-hour power reserve.

The grande sonnerie, with its impressive list of complications, pushes the boundaries of horology even further than one might have thought possible from Blancpain (of course, the price tag naturally matches such a towering achievement). Accordingly, there’s a sense of triumph from the Swiss watchmaker regarding its latest masterpiece, said Blancpain President and CEO Marc A. Hayek. “Listening to a sonnerie is like tasting a grand wine,” Hayek said. “It is not merely a question of volume, but the clarity, the resonance, the persistence, the richness. Savoring the sounding of a prestige sonnerie is an emotional experience.”
The accomplishment raises the bar for what future Blancpain watches might be able to achieve, well beyond even the sporty-yet-luxurious appeal of its most famous model, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. And while only two incredibly fortunate owners (annually) will secure a piece of horology history, the latest experiment from Blancpain very well might set the tone for where the company goes next.

With the grand finale of Bigg Boss 19 just around the corner, reportedly on December 7, 2025, the excitement grows. Meanwhile, the reality show had a dramatic twist with a surprise double eviction that was beyond the imagination of the housemates.
In the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Ashnoor Kaur was evicted first on Saturday. Many contestants thought that this was going to be the last eviction before the finale. It came as a huge shock that Salman Khan then announced another eviction, with wildcard entrant Shehbaz Badesha being eliminated for getting the least number of votes. Special guest actor Ritesh Deshmukh, who will host Bigg Boss Marathi soon, joined in during this episode and witnessed Salman announce the results.
Salman took a moment to value Shehbaz’s journey on the show. He complimented his individuality and told him that from here on, he would be known for his own identity and not as Shehnaaz Gill’s brother or for being related to the late actor Sidharth Shukla. Salman said Shehbaz had earned respect through his own efforts, ensuring he would shine independently outside the Bigg Boss house.
While he was leaving, Shehbaz thanked Salman and the show for giving him a chance to show his talent, saying it had been his dream to come to Bigg Boss for the last six years. His eviction left a noticeable emotional impact, especially on fellow contestant Amaal Mallik.
Thank you for being his constant…inside the house and even outside. You’ve made this journey for all of us!
Lots of love,
-Team Amaal Mallik#AmaalMallik #ShehbazBadesha #BiggBoss19 https://t.co/GrdBKZQNzi— Amaal Mallik (@AmaalMallik) December 1, 2025
Amaal, who was very close to Shehbaz, broke down after his announcement. He blamed himself for Shehbaz’s elimination and thought that he may have unknowingly outshone his friend. Pranit More and Gaurav Khanna consoled him and reminded him about Shehbaz’s strong journey. Later, the trio gave a tribute to Shehbaz by drinking the tea he had prepared and finishing the cookies he had left behind.
With the finale in sight, tensions and emotions at home reach an all-time high.

Salman Khan’s last outing Sikandar with South filmmaker AR Murugadoss tanked without a trace. Undeterred by that box office result, the superstar has now lined up a new film with another filmmaker from this neck of the woods, and it is Vamsi Paidipally.
Salman Khan to headline
According to latest reports from tinsel town, Vamsi Paidipally is all set to direct superstar Salman Khan. The filmmaker has been working on a script that suits the superstar’s stardom and image. Apparently, Vamsi wrote the script keeping Salman in mind. He had narrated the plotline to the actor who then asked the director to develop the idea into a full-bound script. It looks like Salman approved the story and that’s when Vamsi started working on it. The director was spotted making multiple visits meeting Salman in Mumbai in recent times. And those in the know, have revealed that star producer Dil Raju is backing the project. Recently, his co-producer Shirish too confirmed the development of Salman’s film. But he hasn’t revealed whether the story is a remake or an original script. Fans are excited to learn about this development, more so, because of the director’s strength to showcase his protagonists in a new avatar.
Vamsi-Dil Raju collaborative strength
So far, Vamsi has directed six films – Munna, Yevadu, Brindavanam, Oopiri, Maharshi and Varisu. Except Oopiri, all the remaining films were bankrolled by Dil Raju – an indication of their collaborative strength. Vamsi has the reputation of a director who likes to experiment with stories. His last film, Varisu, starring superstar Vijay, was critically acclaimed for showcasing Vijay in a new angle. Sources from Tinseltown indicate that if all goes well, the makers are planning to take Salman’s film on floors with a grand launch early next year. The pre-production work is presently in full swing, and the director is giving final touches to the story.
