Amitabh Bachchan Pens a Heartfelt Tribute for His Sholay Co-star Late Dharmendra

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan mourned the loss of his dear friend and legendary actor, Dharmendra. The latter breathed his last at the age of 89 after suffering from health-related issues. He was cremated at the Pawan Hans Crematorium on November 24 and several celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan and his Abhishek Bachchan had come to pay their last respects.

Dharmendra’s Sholay co-star penned an emotional note on his blog and recalled their bond. Big B shared, “…another valiant Giant has left us .. left the arena .. leaving behind a silence with an unbearable sound ..Dharamji .. the epitome of greatness, ever linked not only for his renowned physical presence, but for the largeness of his heart, and its most endearing simplicity. He brought with him the earthiness of the village in Punjab he came from, and remained true to its temperament un soiled throughout his glorious career, in  a fraternity that witnessed changes every decade .. …the fraternity underwent changes .. not him.”
He concluded by writing, “His smile, his charm and his warmth, extending to all that came in his vicinity .. a rarity in the profession, the air about us swings vacant, a vacuum that shall ever remain vacuus..prayers.”

Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra shared the screen in several films like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Ram Balram and Dost among others. Notably, his last film, Ikkis, stars Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda along with Jaideep Ahlawat and others.

Dharmendra made his debut in 1960 and quickly became a superstar. He was known for his versatility, mastering roles from the romantic hero to the tough action star. His career boasts over 300 films, many of which are considered classics today. Dharmendra is survived by his wife, actress Hema Malini, his first wife Prakash Kaur, and his children, including actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, and daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

Hublot Ices Out The Big Bang Unico Chronograph With All-Sapphire Case

Hublot Ices Out The Big Bang Unico Chronograph With All-Sapphire Case
(Hublot)

Hublot is redefining the iced-out timepiece with a winterized version of its Big Bang Unico. Featuring a 42mm case crafted entirely from transparent sapphire, the limited-edition luxury watch is like an ice sculpture for the wrist that won’t melt or scratch, thanks to its unmatched hardness and scratch resistance.

At its heart is the UNICO movement HUB1280, an in-house movement protected by five patents covering its dual oscillating horizontal clutches, anti-trembling system, a zero-friction ratchet wheel blocker, a constant-pressure minute wheel friction system and a balance wheel fine adjustment mechanism. For this especially seasonal edition, the oscillating weight visible through the caseback is shaped like a snowflake, and it comes with interchangeable white and ice-blue rubber-lined calfskin straps.

(Hublot)

The release comes in the 20th anniversary year of the Hublot Big Bang, which helped redefine the luxury watch category upon introduction in 2005 by combining traditional precious metals with ceramics and natural rubber. The flagship Big Bang collection’s veneration came immediately; a white ceramic and titanium example won that year’s coveted Design Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.

(Hublot)

In 2010, the Big Bang Unico expanded Hublot’s prestige with its first self-winding chronograph movement featuring a flyback function, which allows the chronograph to be instantly reset and restarted with a single push of the button, rather than requiring the traditional three steps (stop, reset, restart).

Priced at $75,000 and limited to just 30 examples, the Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire is available upon inquiry. A more affordable variant limited to 200 examples, featuring a titanium and ceramic case, is also available to purchase outright for $26,300.

Tate McRae Is ‘Nobody’s Girl’ In Moody Music Video

Tate McRae Is ‘Nobody’s Girl’ In Moody Music Video
(Karwai Tang/WireImage)

Tate McRae is sticking it to the man who “had it and lost it” in her music video for “Nobody’s Girl.” The low-fi video features multiple angel-winged McRaes singing as they gaze into the camera, along with a brief appearance from a group of dancers that undulate with fluid, almost kaleidoscope-like choreography.

While the video features blurry lenses and abstract imagery that’s open to interpretation, the lyrics are straightforward: McRae is trying to navigate love (and a breakup) while living the good life that comes with pop stardom.

“And when I ask, the angels sing / They say, ‘Real love doesn’t clip your wings’ / I love love and affection and fancy things,” she sings. “But I think I like me more / And when I cry, gotta wonder why.” She ends the bridge with, “When one closes, the universe opens a new door.” The chorus is even more explicit: “I am nobody’s girl, I love it so much / It’s exactly what I wanted, oh / “I am nobody’s girl, does it mess you up / “That you had it, and you lost it?”

It’s widely suspected that the the inquiry is intended for fellow singer The Kid Laroi, whom she dated in early 2024 and recorded the duet “I Know Love” with. Shortly after, she spoke to Time about what it’s like to end a publicly scrutinized relationship for the first time. “It’s weird, for sure,” McRae says of seeing headlines about her love life. “I’m also experiencing it for the first time, like, intensely. I’ve never had this before.”

As Rolling Stone points out, the “Nobody’s Girl” music video arrived simultaneously with the deluxe edition of So Close To What, which adds four previously unreleased tracks to McRae’s third album: “Trying on Shoes,” “Anything but Love,” “Nobody’s Girl,” and “Horseshoe.

“We had a few more songs that I wanted to share with y’all to close out the SC2W era,” McRae wrote on Instagram as she announced the revisit and its new cover. “I can’t wait for you to hear.” Check out the “Nobody’s Girl” music video and So Close to What deluxe edition track list below:

Palash CHEATED On Smriti Mandhana? Amid viral DMs’ screenshot, composer’s mother REVEALS…

Smriti Mandhana was meant to have one of the most beautiful moments of her life when she was about to marry singer Palash Muchchal on November 25 (Sunday). However, the festivities were cut short when the top Indian batter’s father fell ill. The entire groom’s family has now returned to Mumbai from Sangli, as Palash also needed to be admitted to the hospital. The mother of the groom has finally disclosed the reason behind her son’s hospital stay and broken her silence over the potential date of the postponed wedding.
What did Palash’s mother say?
Palash Muchchal’s mother, Amita, told Hindustan Times that her son chose to delay the wedding ceremonies since he was very close to Smriti’s father.
Palash ko uncle se bahut zyada attachment hai Smriti se zyada yeh dono close hain. Jab unko hogaya toh Smriti se phele Palash ne decision liya ke usko abhi phere nahi karne jab tak uncle thik nahi ho jaate (Palash is extremely attached to Smriti’s father The two of them are even closer than Smriti is with him. When he fell ill, it was Palash, before Smriti, who decided that they should not go ahead with the wedding rituals until he gets better),” she said.
Palash’s mother drops hint about…
Amita further disclosed that Palash Muchchal had to spend four hours in the hospital due to prolonged crying. “Since haldi was done, we didn’t let him go outside. Rote rote ek dum tabiyat karab ho gai. 4 ghante hospital mein rakhna padha. IV drip chadi, ECG hua aur dosre tests hoye. Sab normal aaye but stress bahut hai,” she said.
“We have got Palash back to Mumbai now. He is feeling better and resting now But stress is there His sister Palak has also left Sangli and coming to be with him,” she added.
But she has stated that the wedding would happen very soon. “Everything will be fine…shaadi bohot jaldi hogi.”

DYK, Dharmendra Forbade Sunny, Bobby From Attending Star Kids’ Birthday Parties? A Deol Brother Once Revealed, “Papa Never Wanted Us To Mingle With The Film Industry”

DYK, Dharmendra Forbade Sunny, Bobby From Attending Star Kids’ Birthday Parties? A Deol Brother Once Revealed, “Papa Never Wanted Us To Mingle With The Film Industry”

Monday, November 24, was indeed a very sad day for millions of Bollywood fans, especially those of veteran superstar Dharmendra. After several trips to the hospital – especially in he last few months, and a death hoax earlier two weeks ago, the ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’ actor passed away at his Mumbai residence. The He-Man of Bollywood’s final rites took place yesterday, and saw several fraternity members in attendance alongside his family.
As we continue to mourn the loss of a talent that entertained us for 65 years – and will once more when his last film, Ikkis, releases posthumously on December 25, we bring you an anecdote of the actor that shows how good a father he was to all his 6 kids.
Bobby Deol: Papa (Dharmendra) Would Never Let Us Go To Star Kids’ Birthdays
During a conversation with Instant Bollywood in April 2025, Bobby Deol opened up about Dharmendra not permitting him and Sunny to attend star kids’ birthday bashes. The ‘Animal’ actor said, “Whenever there was a star kid’s birthday, Papa would never let us go. I tell him now that you shouldn’t have done that. But at that time, I felt it was a big deal. But then it became a habit and I didn’t think too much of it. Papa never wanted us to mingle with the film industry because film industry bahut banawati hai. Toh wo chahte the ki humey banawatipan se door rakhe.”
Bobby Deol continued, “We never had an environment like the film industry. We had a simple household. We’d never have parties at home or talk about films. We lived like normal people. We were never influenced by the film industry. I just witnessed that my father got a lot of love. Whether I’d go on a set or see people crowd up outside home, I’d always be surprised by that phenomenon. Why is my father getting so much love?”
Dharam Ji Kids & Their Bollywood Careers
Despite Dharam Ji keeping his kids away from the film industry during their formative years, three of his six children went on to become leading Bollywood stars. Sunny Deol made his acting debut in 1983 with Betaab. Ghayal, Damini, Darr, Ghatak, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Apne and Border are some of his most popular films.
Bobby Deol, who appeared as a child actor in Dharmendra’s Dharam Veer, stepped into Bollywood as la eading man in 1995 with Barsaat. Some of his most popular films include Gupt, Soldier, Badal, Bichhoo, Ajnabee, Humraaz and Animal. He has also made a name for himself in the OTT world with shows such as Class of ’83, Aashram and the most recent Ba***ds of Bollywood. Esha Deol – who entered film in 2002- is known for films such as Dhoom, Dus, Kaal and No Entry. After a sabbatical of many years, following her marriage in 2012 and the birth of her children, Esha returned to acting in 2022 with the Rudra: The Edge of Darkness.
About Dharmendra
Dharam Ji was born on December 8, 1935 in Nasrali, Punjab, British India (present-day Punjab, India). He passed away in November 2025 at age 89. In an impressive career spanning 65 years, the veteran superstar featured in over 250 films. He was even honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2012. Active till the very end, the actor’s posthumous release will be Ikkis – a war drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. This morning his look from the film was unveiled.
On the personal front, Dharam ji is survived by his 2 wives – Prakash Kaur, whom he married in 1954 and actress Hema Malini, whom he married in 1980, his 6 children – Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta, Ajeeta, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol and 13 grandchildren, including Karan, Rajveer and Dharam.
May his soul rest in peace.
