Jab Khuli Kitaab, directed by Saurabh Shukla, is a tender, wise and unexpectedly witty meditation on love in its twilight years. Adapted from Shukla’s own play of the same name, the film retains an intimate, almost theatrical texture, allowing silences and glances to speak as eloquently as dialogue. Yet it never feels stagey; instead, it unfolds like a lived-in memory, fragile and piercingly honest.
At the heart of the story are Gopal and Anusuya Nautiyal, married for fifty years. Their settled companionship is shaken when Anusuya, emerging from a prolonged coma and confronting her mortality, makes a long-buried confession. The revelation devastates Gopal, who begins to question whether their half-century together was built on illusion. Divorce, at this age and stage, becomes less a legal threat and more an emotional reckoning. What follows is not shrill melodrama but a nuanced exploration of ego, pride and the bruised male heart.
Pankaj Kapur delivers yet another masterclass. His Gopal is wounded, bewildered and quietly raging, a man who feels the ground shift beneath decades of certainty. Kapur charts his journey from indignation to introspection with extraordinary finesse. There are no theatrics, only a slow unravelling, a dawning realisation that love is not erased by a single truth. Watching him process betrayal, hurt and, eventually, acceptance is to witness acting of the highest order.
As a counterpoint, Dimple Kapadia is luminous. Her Anusuya is neither reckless nor naïve; she is a woman who believed honesty might cleanse her conscience, only to discover its cost. Kapadia imbues her with regret, resilience and quiet strength. In scene after scene, the veterans play off each other with effortless chemistry. It is a joy and perhaps a quiet rebuke to an industry that so rarely offers author-backed roles to actors of their calibre. Who says romance belongs only to the young? The tug and flow of love at seventy can be as potent as at twenty, and the film captures that with aching beauty.
Aparshakti Khurana, as the younger lawyer, injects a gentle generational perspective, questioning notions of pride and propriety that have calcified over time. Sameer Soni, Nauheed Cyrusi and Manasi Parekh lend able support, though one does wish the Nautiyal family’s dynamics had been explored more fully. By keeping the focus largely on its central pair, the film sacrifices a certain roundness that might have enriched its emotional canvas.
Visually, the cinematography complements the narrative’s intimacy. Warm interiors, lingering close-ups and soft natural light mirror the characters’ inner landscapes. The camera observes rather than intrudes, allowing moments to breathe.
As a director, Shukla proves himself more than competent; this is arguably his most mature work to date. One almost wishes he had ventured into such territory earlier in his career. There is restraint here, confidence and empathy. Watching the film, one hopes it marks a new creative chapter for him.
Ultimately, Jab Khuli Kitaab asks a simple yet profound question: when the book of a shared life is opened at its final chapters, do we slam it shut in anger or read on with grace? The film is currently streaming on Zee5.

Emily Ratajkowski and Romain Gavras Turn Heads With Romantic Paris Outing After Fashion Week
Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski recently enjoyed a relaxed and romantic outing in Paris with her boyfriend, French filmmaker Romain Gavras, shortly after attending one of the most anticipated fashion events of the season. The couple was spotted spending quality time together in the French capital following the Courrèges Women Prêt-à-Porter Fall/Winter 2026–2027 Show, which took place on March 4 during Paris Fashion Week. Their public appearance quickly caught attention as photographs of their day out surfaced online, showing the pair enjoying a peaceful walk through the streets of the iconic city.
In the pictures, the 34-year-old model appeared cheerful and relaxed while strolling alongside the 44-year-old filmmaker. The couple looked comfortable in each other’s company, sharing affectionate moments during their casual outing. One particularly sweet photograph captured Gavras leaning in to gently kiss Ratajkowski on the head while they walked together. Another image showed the filmmaker placing an arm around her shoulders as they continued their stroll, highlighting the easy chemistry between the two. The romantic setting of Paris, often called the City of Love, added an extra charm to their outing.
For the occasion, both Ratajkowski and Gavras opted for coordinated outfits that reflected a simple yet stylish aesthetic. Ratajkowski wore a chic black double-breasted blazer dress that featured a tailored silhouette, pairing it with sleek black boots. She kept her overall appearance minimal by avoiding heavy accessories and leaving her hair open, allowing the outfit to stand out. Gavras, on the other hand, chose a more laid-back style. He wore a white T-shirt layered beneath a long trench coat, complemented by trousers. He completed his casual look with a baseball cap and sneakers, giving his outfit an effortless street-style feel.
The Paris outing comes just weeks after Ratajkowski publicly confirmed her relationship with Gavras on social media. On February 19, the model shared a captionless Instagram post that offered glimpses of her personal life and included several images featuring the filmmaker. The post quickly attracted attention from fans and media outlets, marking the first time the couple had openly acknowledged their relationship online.

The photo carousel shared by Ratajkowski included several intimate and candid moments. In the first image, she was seen hugging Gavras, with his arm wrapped around her waist while gently holding her head. The model wore a striking backless dress in the photograph. Another image in the post featured a collage in which Ratajkowski appeared wearing a headscarf and sunglasses while Gavras stood on a snow-covered road. A separate picture showed the couple sitting next to each other, with Ratajkowski playfully sticking out her tongue. The final photo in the series appeared to be taken by the model herself and showed the couple’s feet touching, adding a subtle and personal touch to the post.
Before her relationship with Gavras, Ratajkowski had been linked to actor Austin Butler in August 2025. Her dating life has often attracted media interest following her separation from film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard. Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard were married in 2018 but eventually separated in 2022. During their marriage, the couple welcomed a son named Sylvester Apollo, who continues to remain an important part of the model’s life.
Gavras, meanwhile, had previously been romantically linked to pop star Dua Lipa around 2023. As a filmmaker known for directing music videos and films, he has maintained a notable presence within the entertainment industry.
With their recent appearance together in Paris and the confirmation of their relationship online, Ratajkowski and Gavras appear to be embracing their time together both privately and publicly. Their relaxed outing after Paris Fashion Week not only highlighted their growing romance but also showed the couple enjoying a quiet moment away from the spotlight in one of the world’s most romantic cities.
Wine Of The Week: Penfolds 389 Lunar New Year Horse Edition

Penfolds has been a wine icon since 1844, when Dr. Christopher Penfold and his wife Mary moved to Australia, with French vine cuttings in hand. They planted them near Adelaide, carefully cared for them, and Penfolds was born.
Almost two centuries later, Penfolds is renowned for both their Bin wines (special bottles of small lot) and the Grange, their Shiraz-centric Bordeaux-ish red that has become a collectors’ darling. But these bottles are available year round. Just once a year, Penfolds—which recently tapped Aussie pop star Troye Sivan as its new Creative Partner—unveils its Lunar New Year release. This year it’s Bin 389, a highly collectible bottle that marries Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, brought together in a bottle emblazoned with a horse.

It’s incredibly elegant and richly intense, with aromatics of toasted coffee beans, smoked meats, and cherries that opens on to a generous, layered mid-palate and structured tannins from the Cabernet Sauvignon. Shiraz adds lush aromatics and a warmth that beautifully balances out the Cab’s offerings. Drink it now, or save for twelve years until the next Year of the Horse. It works beautifully alongside lamb dumplings, dan dan noodles, and other dishes of abundance. $90

Talking further about how the song was recorded, Iulia revealed that they revisited the track to bring out deeper emotions that matched her character in the film. So yeah, it’s according to my character in the film as well, because it’s for the film, right? So yeah, and he guided me.
Iulia went on to appreaciate Arijit saying,“He was very kind to give me advice. I was happy to hear that he’s appreciating me as an artist as well, which is very kind of him. He doesn’t need to do all these things, you know. But still he does it, and it’s so encouraging and kind and beautiful.”

Rajinikanth reveals how Andhaa Kaanoon makers reacted when he initially declined the offer: “Murali Mohan said, ‘Is he MAD? He’s getting such a big opportunity with Amitabh Bachchan and he’s saying No?’”; opens up on distributors reactions, “They said, “’Who is this hero? Who will accept him?’”
Rajinikanth was the chief guest at the grand inauguration of the Greenpark Resort & Spa in Madikeri (Coorg), Karnataka and the 90th birthday celebration of its owner, the veteran filmmaker, Atluri Purnachandra Rao. The superstar attended the event to honour the producer who introduced him to Hindi cinema. Also present at the event were Murali Mohan, M Venkaiah Naidu and others.
In his speech, Rajinikanth said, “I was actually introduced to the Tamil film industry by K Balanchander. It was Purnachandra Rao garu who introduced me to Hindi cinema in 1983. At that time, my manager Murali Prasad came and told me, ‘Purnachandra Rao garu of Lakshmi Productions is asking for your dates. I was extremely busy then. I had no time and no dates at all. There were many Tamil productions lined up; how could I suddenly do a Telugu film? I clearly told them that I didn’t have the dates. Then he said, “Not Tamil; it’s a Hindi film.” I wondered, ‘Hindi film? Somehow, by luck, Tamil audiences have accepted me as a hero. There’s no chance for me in Hindi’ (laughs). Hence, I declined the offer.”
He added, “But they kept on insisting. Murali told me, ‘I should at least meet them as it’s a big production house’. I agreed to meet them, though I wasn’t interested at all. Sri Purnachandra Rao garu and T Rama Rao garu came to meet me. They asked me, ‘Have you seen the Telugu film, Chattaniki Kallu Levu (1981)?’. I said, ‘No, sir’. They revealed, ‘It was remade in Tamil (Sattam Oru Iruttarai; 1981) and was a big hit. When we made it in Telugu with Chiranjeevi as the lead, it was a huge hit as well. You should do it in Hindi’. I informed them, ‘Sir, I can speak Hindi and Marathi, but that’s not proper Hindi. Even my Tamil isn’t perfect yet (laughs)! Hence, I cannot accept the offer’.”
Rajinikanth continued, “Around that time, Kamal Haasan’s Ek Duuje Ke Liye (1981) had become a massive hit; in fact, it was a blockbuster. If that film hadn’t succeeded, I doubt whether I would have even considered the offer. Yet, I refused the offer. They requested me to reconsider. They revealed, ‘Hema Malini will play the hero’s sister, while Reena Roy will essay the role of the heroine. There will be three villains. Pran garu will be returning to films with this project after a long break. Danny Denzongpa, a great actor who rarely accepts films, will play a villain. Also, Amitabh Bachchan will appear in a guest role’.”
The hall erupted with laughter as the star confessed, “I thought they were just exaggerating! When they mentioned Hema Malini, I became a little doubtful. Yet, I continued listening to whatever they were saying. The moment they mentioned Amitabh Bachchan sir’s name…I concluded that continuing the discussion felt like a waste of time. We left and I scolded my manager, Murali, ‘What is all this? (They are claimed to have signed) Amitabh Bachchan, this person, that person…no no’!”
Rajinikanth then said, “While I was leaving after declining the film, T Rama Rao garu said, ‘What is all this? Is he mad? He’s getting such a big opportunity with Amitabh Bachchan and he’s saying No? Has he lost his mind?’ However, Purnachandra Rao garu remarked, ‘Wait, it hasn’t been explained to him (Rajinikanth) properly’. Later, he sent someone else to speak to me. That person told me, ‘I think you’re underestimating this offer. Amitabh Bachchan is confirmed. Everything is ready. They are even considering Mithun Chakraborty. But Purnachandra Rao garu feel that since Kamal Haasan has already become a hit, you will suit this role very well’. He’s very particular about it. Hence, please agree to do the film’.” He also said, ‘Chiranjeevi is waiting, wondering whether he would get a call from Purnachandra Rao garu since he had a hit with him in the form of Chattaniki Kallu Levu’. (laughs). That’s when I believed it and I signed Andhaa Kaanoon (1983).”
Rajinikanth added, “You all already know how big a film Andhaa Kaanoon was. However, after watching the film, distributors said, ‘Everything is fine, but who is this hero? Who will accept him?’. Nobody bought the film. So, Purnachandra Rao garu himself distributed it all over India. It became a super-duper bumper hit (smiles).”

Justin Timberlake Sues to Block Release of Drunken Driving Arrest Footage
Pop star Justin Timberlake has returned to court in connection with his 2024 driving-while-intoxicated (DWI) case, this time seeking to prevent the public release of police body camera footage related to his arrest. According to multiple reports, the singer and his legal team filed a petition requesting that the footage not be made public, arguing that its release could cause significant damage to his reputation and invade his privacy. The petition was filed in the Suffolk County Supreme Court, where Timberlake’s attorneys presented their case to halt the planned dissemination of the video.
As reported by Variety and People, Timberlake’s legal team argued that making the bodycam footage public would result in “severe and irreparable harm” to the singer’s personal and professional reputation. In their official statement submitted to the court, the attorneys claimed that releasing the footage could subject Timberlake to public ridicule and harassment without serving any meaningful public interest. They also emphasized that the video could reveal personal details unrelated to oversight of government operations, which they believe should remain private.
The legal filing further requested that Timberlake and his representatives be allowed to review the body camera footage before any decision regarding its release is made. Their argument suggested that the video may contain sensitive information that could be misinterpreted or unnecessarily exposed to the public. In response to the petition, Newsday reported that Joseph Farneti, a judge in Suffolk County, granted a temporary restraining order on Thursday. This order temporarily blocks authorities from releasing the footage while the court continues to review the matter.
The legal development follows Timberlake’s widely reported arrest in June 2024 in Sag Harbor, New York. Authorities stated that the singer had been stopped shortly after leaving the American Hotel. According to police records, Timberlake was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated as well as two additional violations related to traffic infractions, including running a stop sign and changing lanes improperly.
The arresting officer’s report described Timberlake as having “bloodshot” and “glassy” eyes and noted that he reportedly performed poorly during a field sobriety test conducted at the scene. However, Timberlake maintained that he had consumed only one martini prior to driving and declined to take a Breathalyzer test at the time of the stop.

— Variety (@Variety) March 5, 2026
Several months after the incident, the legal case reached a resolution when Timberlake appeared in court in September 2024. During the hearing, the singer pleaded guilty to a reduced charge related to the incident. As part of the court’s decision, he was ordered to pay a $500 fine and complete between 25 and 40 hours of community service.
During the court proceedings, Timberlake addressed the situation and acknowledged his mistake. He admitted that he had not lived up to the personal standards he tries to maintain and said he should have exercised better judgment that evening. His statement reflected a recognition of the seriousness of the offense and the responsibilities that come with public visibility.
After the hearing, Timberlake also spoke briefly with reporters, using the moment to deliver a broader message about responsible behavior. He urged people not to drive after drinking, even if they believe they have consumed only a small amount of alcohol. Emphasizing the many alternatives available today, he suggested calling a friend, using a ride-sharing service such as Uber, or taking a taxi instead.
Timberlake described the incident as a mistake from which he hopes others can learn. While the legal consequences of the case have largely been resolved, the question surrounding the release of the bodycam footage remains under judicial review. For now, the temporary restraining order ensures that the footage will not be made public until the court reaches a final decision on whether it should be disclosed.
