In a move that unites two enduring symbols of American culture, Ford and Major League Baseball have announced a massive multiyear partnership, naming the Detroit-based automaker as the Official Automotive Partner of the league.

The collaboration places Ford at the heart of baseball’s most high-profile events, including Opening Day, All-Star Week, the MLB at Field of Dreams, and the World Series. The deal also extends into the roots of the game, securing Ford’s presence across Minor League Baseball and Little League Baseball and Softball.

“For generations, baseball has brought families and communities together, and so has Ford,” said Lisa Materazzo, Ford’s global chief marketing officer in a statement released today. “This partnership is about honoring tradition while putting real capability behind the moments that matter.”

The timing notably comes as America prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary. Ford’s MLB partnership also includes sponsorship of the league’s July 4th initiative and significant grant funding for youth sports in Kansas City, Buffalo, and Detroit to provide gear and clinics.

“Ford and MLB are both American heritage brands that continue to innovate,” said Uzma Rawn Dowler, MLB Chief Marketing Officer. “The national scale of our content is sure to drive even greater consideration and fan engagement.”

Fans also have a chance to get in on the action through the Drive Them Home Sweepstakes. Entrants can vie for All-Star Game tickets and the keys to a 2026 F-150 Lariat Hybrid, a 2026 Expedition Platinum, or a 2026 Bronco. With existing partnerships with 10 MLB clubs—including the Yankees, Red Sox, and Braves—Ford is doubling down on its goal as being seen as the signature vehicle of America’s pastime. In 2025, Sandler’s bank account benefited from a busy slate that blended comedy nostalgia with critical acclaim. According to reports, legal action involving producer Firoz Nadiadwala has delayed the film. Vijay Kumar, who claims to own the rights to Hera Pheri, alleged that Nadiadwala made the second film in the franchise without owning the rights and has now announced the third one without taking permission from the actual IP owner.
As per Pinkvilla, Vijay claimed that he had only permitted Firoz Nadiadwala to make one film and said, “After the second film, he also announced a third one. That’s when we became aware of the situation and wrote to him, but he kept avoiding us. Eventually, we had to approach the court, and the court has made it very clear that the rights are with us.”

Kumar also claimed that Nadiadwala was trying to delay the case. Additionally, Nadiadwala also tried to sell the rights to someone else. Claiming this, he said, “For the third instalment, he did not respond positively. Instead, he was trying to sell or transfer it in some way to a third party. That’s when we approached the court and filed an IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) case. He has appeared in court but continues to delay proceedings. I am not sure what he is trying to achieve, but the court has been very clear that the rights are with us, and we are confident of getting that order as well.”
According to reports, Vijay Kumar is looking to resolve the legal dispute first, after which he will determine whether to sell the rights, remake, or carry forward the Hera Pheri franchise.

He said, “Naturally, as of now, the team of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty remains the core cast. As things stand, it makes the most business sense in every way for Akshay Kumar and the team to be a part of it.”
That said, the future of Hera Pheri 3 continues to remain uncertain amid the ongoing legal dispute. Reports suggesting that the rights have been sold or that a new cast may be introduced are, as of now, purely speculative.

The latest collaboration born from Airbus and Mercedes-Benz’s ongoing partnership is an entirely baller helicopter that gives deep-pocketed buyers the ability to seamlessly transition between transportation modes without missing a glint of silver-starred opulence.

Unveiled at a showcase even in Sao Paulo, a mecca for private and business choppers, the ACH145 Mercedes-Benz Edition elevates the interior of the H145’s new D3 platform, which boasts a 137 knot (158 mph) top speed, four-hour flight time, and 350 nautical-mile range, thanks to the addition of a fifth rotor blade that also reduces in-flight vibration.

The crux of the copter is the interior, which has been customized in accordance with “Sensual Purity”—Mercedes’ somewhat nebulous guiding design philosophy that aims to create a “bridge” between advanced engineering and beauty through a minimalist design approach.

“ACH and Mercedes-Benz have brought together the DNA of two icons: the versatile and robust ACH145 and the charisma of Mercedes-Benz,” said Frederic Lemos, Head of Airbus Corporate Helicopters. “Today, discerning customers can travel in a Mercedes-Benz level of comfort and style, on land and in the air.”

The design takes clear inspiration from Mercedes’ high-end cars and high-minded concepts, including the EQS and various Maybach models. Looking at the palette and materials—white and gray leather with wood-grain floors and inserts plus metallic trim—the interior previewed here looks quite similar to that of the Mercedes-Benz Vision V Concept Van.

As Supercar Blondie notes, the ACH145 can be configured to carry between four and eight passengers, with storage compartments and cabinets cleverly built into the seating areas. Buyers can choose among six interior design themes named Atlas, Meteor, Phoenix, Zenith, Polaris, and Solaris.

It’s the latest in a partnership between Airbus and Mercedes-Benz that began in 2010. First came the EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style, a helicopter that drew inspiration from the now-defunct R-Class van to introduce a modular lounge concept featuring flexible rail-mounted seating and high-end wood finishes. The partnership evolved alongside the aircraft itself, transitioning to the H145 platform in 2015 and culminating in the delivery of 26 bespoke “Style” edition helicopters worldwide. This latest effort marks the first new Airbus x Mercedes helicopter since the partnership was formally renewed in 2021.

Prices weren’t announced, but expect to pay in excess of $10 million to cop the CH145 Mercedes-Benz Edition copter.
