Aditya Dhar has made his directorial return with the recently released Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar. This film is considered one of the year’s most anticipated releases. To show her support for her husband, Yami Gautam shared a heartfelt message praising his dedication and effort. She also praised her brother, Ojas Gautam, for his contributions to the film as an assistant director and trailer editor.
 
She wrote a detailed note on X, addressing both her husband and the entire film crew. She wrote, “And it’s DHURANDHAR DAY today!!!! Some of the hardest-working and gem of people that I know & proud to call them my family!!! You have given all your heart, devotion, dedication, intent, passion, sweat, blood, tears (which you never show) to this film, Aditya!!!”

She added, “Too many emotions running today, many hearts beating together!!! You guys are Dhurandhars in your own might. DHURANDHAR is not a parting gift of 2025 but is here to welcome 2026 for all of us across the globe. Ab yeh aapki film hai, audience… Jai Hind.” 
 
Earlier, Yami had expressed her concerns about what she describes as a growing trend of “extortion-like” hype and paid negativity. She also appealed to her colleagues in the film industry to stop the practice of generating hype through marketing strategies. In a detailed note posted on Instagram, she conveyed her deep concern about the increasing pressure on filmmakers to buy paid publicity. On the work front, she was recently seen in the movie HAQ opposite Emraan Hashmi. 
 
Directed and written by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal in lead roles. It is produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios. Before its release, the film faced a minor hiccup as the makers were unable to host premiere shows due to unavoidable circumstances.

Ranveer Singh’s new action film Dhurandhar released in cinemas today, December 5, and it has already created huge excitement among fans. Soon after the film ended, viewers were stunned by a post-credit scene that officially announced that the story will continue in Dhurandhar 2. The surprise reveal confirmed that a sequel is not only happening but will arrive very soon.

The makers have locked the release date for the sequel, and Dhurandhar 2 will hit theatres on March 19, 2026, which is less than three months from now. This quick turnaround suggests that director Aditya Dhar and his team filmed both parts together. The first film is over three hours and 30 minutes long, and now fans are curious about how long the second part will be.

The film stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Sara Arjun in key roles. Actor Rakesh Bedi, who also features in the film, had already hinted that a sequel was ready. In an earlier interview, he said, “The second instalment is around the corner, it is ready and will be released in a month or two.” He also shared that his character is inspired by a real Pakistani politician and that his full role will be revealed in Part Two.

Meanwhile, the early response to Dhurandhar has been strong. Viewers are praising the high-octane action, intense drama and Ranveer’s powerful performance. Many reviews describe the film as a massive action thriller filled with emotion, raw tension and large-scale visuals. The positive reaction has increased excitement for the upcoming sequel, which is expected to pick up right where the first film ends.

With Dhurandhar 2 already dated for 2026, the franchise appears ready to grow into one of the biggest action series in Indian cinema.
