Alia Bhatt attended BAFTA 2026 as a presenter and turned heads in a gorgeous silver Gucci gown. However, one of her red-carpet interviews drew a lot of trolling and criticism. When asked to name a film with the best twist, Alia paused, took a deep breath, and chose Gone Girl. She went on to explain why she liked the film. The clip went viral, and she was trolled for her expressions. Netizens also suspected that Alia had not actually watched the film and called her answer pretentious.
Recently, the actress attended the Milan Fashion Week. There, she spoke to Diet Sabya about the viral moment and said, “Why is it being talked about so much? Is it because of my expressions?”

Talking about the film, she continued, “So basically I really think it is the best twist, but I have not like watched it in… when did it release? 10 years ago? So I have not watched it after that. So when she was like, ‘that monologue,’ I was like ‘haan’ (yes), and I was going back in my head that oh ya, ‘that monologue, correct correct correct’. So I was like going back in time, and I guess that’s what you saw. I am a cool girl. I am a sweet girl. But I could be… total… I mean, I can be like… I am more sweet than I am cool. Actually, I don’t think I am cool. I am an uncool girl, my sister would say that.”
For Milan Fashion Week, Alia wore a custom Gucci outfit. She wore a black leather dress with a long matching coat.
For her BAFTA award, Alia looked breathtaking in a custom Gucci gown. The silver sequined dress featured a high neckline and a fitted silhouette. The shimmer of the gown was the highlight of her look. She paired it with a soft white fur stole, which added a touch of elegance to the look.
She kept her accessories simple, letting the gown do the talking. She opted for a sleek hairdo and her nude-toned makeup. On the red carpet, she also spoke about the feeling of being in front of the camera and called her daughter Raha her biggest source of inspiration.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Love and War and Alpha.
