The makers of director Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s upcoming film have officially revealed its title as Texla. Previously referred to as #KRG09 during its production phase, the project has now entered a new stage with the release of its title teaser.
Production house Kannan Ravi Group shared the teaser through its social media platforms, presenting audiences with a glimpse of the film’s thematic tone. The announcement highlighted the film as their ninth production venture and confirmed its association with Aishwarya Rajinikanth as director.
The teaser itself unfolds in a simple yet evocative setting. It opens inside a modest thatched hut where a group of children sit anxiously, waiting for something to begin. At the entrance stands a man who keeps looking toward the overcast sky, seemingly concerned about the weather.
As rain clouds gather, he informs the boys that the anticipated event may not take place that day. Disappointed, the children step outside. However, moments later, the man calls them back as the sun breaks through the clouds.
In a visually poetic moment, sunlight is reflected using a piece of glass onto a film plate, projecting the title Texla onto a cloth screen. The children’s joyful reaction suggests the scene draws inspiration from early cinematic experiences — hinting at themes of nostalgia, storytelling, and the magic of cinema itself.
The project has already confirmed the involvement of celebrated composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, who will handle the film’s music. His association adds to the anticipation, given his longstanding contribution to the Tamil film industry.
The collaboration between the production house and Aishwarya Rajinikanth was first announced earlier, with the company emphasizing its belief in meaningful partnerships. The group described filmmaking as a collective art form that thrives on shared vision and trust.
