Excitement surrounding the much-awaited war drama Border 2 is reaching new heights as actor Ahan Shetty dropped behind-the-scenes photos from the film’s sets, sending fans into a frenzy. The pictures feature Ahan posing alongside co-stars Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh, offering a glimpse of the camaraderie behind one of the biggest upcoming releases of the year. Sharing the images on Instagram, Ahan captioned them, “Mitti Ke Bete,” a line that instantly struck a patriotic chord with fans, who flooded the comments with heart and fire emojis.
Earlier, Varun Dhawan had also given fans a sneak peek into the film’s intense making process. Posting a series of BTS pictures, he wrote, “A battle #Border2. A film that really pushed me to my limits. An experience so many people helped me get through. It changed me for good. Injuries, personal life changes, and submitting to the craft — can’t wait for everyone to watch this film tomorrow.” His emotional note highlighted the physical and emotional toll the film demanded, further fueling anticipation.
Meanwhile, the Shetty family marked the crucial phase of the film’s release with spiritual devotion. Veteran actor Suniel Shetty visited the renowned Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to seek blessings from Baba Mahakal. He offered prayers from the sanctum doorway and later performed traditional Shiva rituals in the Nandi Hall, conducted by temple priest Ashish Guru. After completing the darshan, Suniel was honored by the Mahakal Temple Committee with a ceremonial dupatta and prasad. Speaking to the media afterward, he expressed that good health and family unity are life’s greatest blessings and said faith keeps him grounded during important personal and professional milestones.
Adding to the film’s emotional narrative, Ahan Shetty recently opened up about working with Sunny Deol, who reprises a powerful role in the sequel. In an interview, Ahan described Sunny as a “father figure” and shared that his admiration for the veteran actor stems from his own father Suniel Shetty’s deep respect for him. Ahan also revealed that watching the original Border as a child ignited his love for the Indian Army and inspired his dream of becoming an actor.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 continues the legacy of the iconic war classic. The film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, and is inspired by real events from the 1971 India-Pakistan War. With patriotic fervor, emotional performances, and massive buzz, Border 2 is all set to storm the big screen on January 23.
