Deepika Padukone has been embracing motherhood with honesty and heart. She had given birth to Dua Padukone Singh on September 8, 2024. She recently took to social media to share a glimpse into her mother journey. Deepika re-shared a reel where the author speaks of several dilemmas new mothers face.
The content in the reel read, “There… I said it! My toxic trait is loving my child so much that I don’t want anyone else watching them… but I desperately need a break… but I can’t stand being without them… but I also crave 24 hours of silence… but I still want to be with them 24/7.”
While Deepika and Ranveer Singh hardly speak about Dua in public, the actress had once opened up about her motherhood journey. While speaking at the WAVES 2025 summit, Deepika said, “I’m discovering this new life post-embracing motherhood. The minute you’ve had a child, you’re now responsible for another human being, and especially in the way I’ve led my life, it’s been so much about me – leaving home, my ambition, my career, and everything has been about my life and everything that I wanted for myself. And now, suddenly, you’re caring for this person who is dependent on you for everything.”
On the professional front, Deepika is currently working on Shah Rukh Khan starrer and Siddharth Anand directed KING. Alongside SRK and Deepika, it will also star Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi and more in leading roles. There were rumours of the actress starring in The White Lotus 4, but recent reports suggest that the same is not happening anymore. Ranveer Singh, on the other hand, is gearing up to release Dhurandhar 2 on March 19, 2026.
