Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda recently marked a new chapter in their personal lives by tying the knot on February 26 in Udaipur, surrounded by close friends and family members. Soon after their wedding, the couple surprised fans with a professional update that beautifully connects their real-life partnership with their on-screen collaboration.
The makers of their upcoming historical drama Ranabaali unveiled a special video offering the first glimpse of the duo from the film. The surprise reveal was timed to celebrate the couple’s marriage and features moments from a wedding sequence within the film itself.
The video is set to the song O Mere Saajan, composed by Ajay-Atul and sung by Shweta Mohan and Javed Ali. It captures ceremonial preparations, traditional attire, and glimpses of domestic life that highlight the chemistry between their characters.
Opening with scenes of wedding rituals, the video transitions into the couple’s grand entry into their home, followed by tender moments that reflect everyday companionship and emotional intimacy. The montage ends with a message wishing Rashmika and Vijay happiness in their married life, mirroring the sentiments of both their real and fictional journeys.
Alongside the video, the filmmakers also released an evocative poster featuring the pair. The visual emphasizes the timeless nature of their bond and introduces audiences to their characters in Ranabaali — Ranabaali and Jayamma.
This project marks the couple’s third on-screen collaboration after their earlier films, Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. It is also their first film together following their marriage, making it particularly significant for fans who have followed their professional and personal association over the years.
The film is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and is set in 19th-century India. Drawing inspiration from historical events that occurred between 1854 and 1878 during British colonial rule, Ranabaali aims to portray a turbulent period marked by violence, economic exploitation and widespread loss.
In the narrative, Vijay takes on the role of Ranabaali, a freedom fighter portrayed as determined and uncompromising in his resistance. Rashmika plays Jayamma, a character expected to serve as the emotional anchor of the story.
Adding to the film’s dramatic tension is the presence of Arnold Vosloo, who is set to portray the antagonist, Sir Theodore Hector.

The project is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, with presentation support from T-Series.
The announcement of Ranabaali was initially made on January 26 when Vijay shared the first glimpse of the film on social media, confirming its theatrical release on September 11.
As anticipation builds, the newly released video serves as both a celebration of Rashmika and Vijay’s personal milestone and a preview of their next cinematic journey together. By blending romance with historical drama, Ranabaali promises to offer a story that connects emotional depth with larger socio-political themes.
