A major new socio-political thriller is set to arrive on streaming platforms as Amazon’s free video service introduces Sankalp, marking the much-awaited OTT debut of veteran actor Nana Patekar. The teaser of the series was unveiled on the 74th birthday of acclaimed filmmaker Prakash Jha, who returns to the genre that has long defined his storytelling — narratives centered on power, politics, and the complex systems that govern society.
The teaser offers a glimpse into a world shaped by authority, ideology, loyalty, and institutional influence. Anchored in themes such as governance, mentorship, and societal hierarchy, the series explores how power operates within modern structures rather than traditional arenas.
