Pulkit Samrat is stepping into the ring — both literally and figuratively — as he fulfills a long-cherished career ambition. The actor is set to play a boxer in the upcoming Netflix sports crime drama Glory, marking his debut as a lead actor in the OTT space. For Pulkit, this isn’t just another project; it’s a dream role that he has waited years to bring to life.
Calling the part deeply personal, Pulkit revealed that portraying a boxer had always been on his career wishlist. “It’s a dream character for me,” he shared, expressing excitement over finally getting the opportunity to take on such a physically and emotionally demanding role. Filming for Glory concluded in mid-2025, and according to the actor, the journey required extraordinary discipline, stamina, and commitment.
Pulkit described the shooting experience as intense yet strangely addictive. From rigorous physical training to maintaining the mindset of a fighter, the process pushed him beyond his limits. He explained that embodying a boxer meant embracing resilience, control, and constant self-improvement — traits that mirrored the character’s own battles in the story.
The actor also spoke about the importance of challenging oneself as an artist. He believes playing safe roles leads to repetitive storytelling. “Otherwise everything becomes formula-driven,” he said, adding that actors must step out of their comfort zones to offer audiences something fresh. According to Pulkit, artistic risk is essential to growth, and Glory gave him the perfect opportunity to break away from predictable choices.
Set in the unforgiving world of competitive boxing, Glory follows the story of Raghubir Singh, a legendary boxing coach whose life takes a violent turn after a brutal attack. The incident forces him to reconnect with his estranged sons, Dev and Ravi, reigniting unresolved conflicts and dragging the family into a dangerous web of rivalry, crime, and ambition. The series blends high-octane sports action with layered family drama and a gripping crime narrative.
Created by Karan Anshuman and Karmanya Ahuja and produced by Atomic Films, the show features Pulkit alongside Divyenndu Sharma and Suvinder Vicky in key roles. With its mix of emotional depth, intense boxing sequences, and dark storytelling, Glory promises to be a compelling addition to Netflix’s Indian original lineup.
Pulkit was last seen in the theatrical release Rahu Ketu, co-starring Varun Sharma. The film offered a modern retelling of mythological legends with a visually rich narrative. Now, with Glory, Pulkit Samrat is ready to redefine his career — proving that sometimes, the biggest fights happen far beyond the ring.
