Farah Khan is officially ready to make her grand return to the director’s chair — and Bollywood fans couldn’t be more thrilled. Known for delivering some of Hindi cinema’s most iconic entertainers, Farah has finally confirmed that she plans to direct a new film after more than a decade-long break. While she continues to delight audiences with her witty and wildly popular YouTube vlogs, fans have been eagerly awaiting her comeback to the big screen.
Farah, who gave Bollywood blockbusters like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Tees Maar Khan, shared the exciting update during a recent vlog visit to actor Nakuul Mehta’s home. During their candid conversation, Nakuul admitted that he genuinely misses the kind of fun, larger-than-life films Farah used to make — a sentiment echoed by countless fans online.
Responding to the comment, Farah revealed that her return to direction is closer than expected. “Abhi banaungi main! Abhi bachche chaley jayenge na college, phir banaungi,” she said, adding that there is even an online petition titled ‘Wapas Aao Farah Khan’ urging her comeback. She further shared that she plans to begin work on her next film by the end of this year, sparking excitement among her followers.
However, Farah also made one thing very clear — if she returns to directing films, it will be on her own terms. When Nakuul jokingly asked whether YouTube would produce her movie, Farah quipped, “If I do direct a film, I will do it with Shah Rukh! Otherwise, I’ll stick to YouTube.” Her statement instantly set social media buzzing, especially among Shah Rukh Khan fans who are now hoping for another magical collaboration.
Farah and Shah Rukh Khan have previously delivered massive hits together, including Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year. Their creative partnership has given Bollywood some of its most memorable cinematic moments, making the possibility of another reunion incredibly exciting.
Farah’s last directorial project, Happy New Year, released in 2014 and starred Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, and Boman Irani. The film went on to become a major box-office success. Since then, Farah has remained in the public eye, especially after launching her YouTube vlogs in 2025. Featuring her cook Dilip as her hilarious on-screen companion, her videos have gained a massive fan following for their playful banter and candid humor.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki (2023) and is currently gearing up for his next big release, King, directed by Siddharth Anand.
With Farah ready to return and SRK waiting in the wings, Bollywood might just be on the verge of another blockbuster reunion.
